The NATURAL 2012 mission???

Okay so I'm on a mission to try the who natural thing for this year (it's a process) adapting the principle that I am beautiful without any additions.

Natural Journey 2012

Okay so at the beginning of the year my natural journey actually began on it's own a total accident so I just ran with it. So just coming out of Christmas I was broke so I could not buy my make-up or get my nails done (acrylic) like I usto do. Confession: There was a time when I was obsessed with acrylic nails and getting them done every month (£15-£20 per month). I felt as if my hands looked better when I had them done (they do....in my opinion) it was like I needed to have them done all the time, which i later realized I didn't.

So before Christmas up until Feb when I cut off all my hair and went natural I had been totally make up free which was great. Okay who am I kidding it was horrible at first as my skin was going through a terrible phase and I was breaking out in  spots and I had no make-up to hide my flaws :( So anyways it was about 6 months of no make-up until a month after I cut my hair. Although I was wearing wigs I felt like apart of me was missing....apart of my beauty was now gone. I know that may sound strange but hey that's how I was feeling. So because my hair was gone I needed my make-up back to compensate for what was missing (plus i got paid so I could now afford my make-up, as I buy MAC and that ain't cheap). Anyways I have always felt I looked beautiful without make-up but I do feel that on most people including myself when applied correctly it will enhance a woman's beauty.

Natural Feb 2012

Now I am not someone who is opposed to make-up up, hell I even did I course on it. But I do feel it is important for a woman to be okay without her make-up and to feel just as beautiful. But seriously do we all feel just as beautiful without make-up? would you do a professional shoot with no make-up? (just food for thought). I will not lie the minute I got my make up back I was so happy but the benefit of going 6months without it was that no make-up was like my "NORM". I remember my friends seeing me (college friends) and they were kinda in shock as they had not seen me with make-up since summer break and we were now in April. I suppose they had forgotten what I looked like without make-up on. So for my natural journey 2012I have done natural skin for 4 months, natural hair 4months and natural nails for 6 months. All in all so far so good as I wanted to do all three for a significant period of time and I think I achieved it.

So the NATURAL road i s a tough one when you are accustomed to certain things but it is an achievable one. Loving all of you  mind and body is important in building self confidence and LOVING YOU.

Remember you are beautiful with or without any ADDITIONS :)
